In Muslim countries, Eid al-Fitr celebrations begin with morning prayers followed by family gathering for breakfast.

In the Middle East, family visits are common, in which gifts are exchanged between family members.

Several other countries are expected to declare April 10 as the first day of Eid al Fitr, including Morocco, which is set to announce the official date of the feast after the sighting of the crescent moon today.
